While doing all of that hard work to lose all of my weight I picked up a lot more healthy food habits. Don't for a second even think that that means I only heat vegetables and quinoa because let me assure you I don't! I. LOVE. FOOD. I love cooking, I love baking, I love going out for a burger and fries or a big huge pizza. So I have learned that if I exercise and eat healthy most of the time that I can have those splurges and I don't have to feel bad about it.
One of my biggest weaknesses is ice cream. And Rob and I have been known to have four kinds of ice cream in our freezer at once. (Hallelujah for a big chest freezer!) And we go through spurts where we will eat ice cream every single day. But as my husband will proudly tell you in our nine months of marriage he has not gained any weight! See, it can be done. :) So I thought I would share one of our tricks for being able to have treats every day if we want...
Sugar cones have only about 50 calories (not waffles cones, those are bad!) and they are small and you can only put so much ice cream on them. And if you like cake cones those are even better, they only have about 25 calories. So we every night have our little cone with a small scoop or two of ice cream and it is the perfect treat!
Although sometimes, rarely, there is only a little left of each kind and our treat ends up like this...well at least Rob's does...
